A couple of artistically talented and collaborative Pokemon fans have come together to create a new baby form for the popular Pokemon Tropius. The adorable fan-made design retains much of the look of its fully-grown adult form, while incorporating clever new details which easily cue Pokemon fans in on what exactly the creature is supposed to be. Introduced as part of Pokemon's third generation, Tropius is a dual-type Grass/Flying Pokemon resembling a sauropod, which includes dinosaurs such as the Brachiosaurus.

It is one of only a relative handful of Pokemon not known to evolve into or from any other Pokemon. With nothing being significantly done with the Pokemon in the six generations that have transpired since its introduction, many Pokemon fans think Tropius needs a new evolution or buff, the former of which these Pokemon fans have attempted to create. The Pokemon fan artist involved with the baby form of Tropius go by the handles of MengShuZ and Soyalexalan, where MengShuZ posted the finished product to a popular Pokemon forum page on Reddit. The adorable baby Tropius, called Platiny, is instantly recognizable for what it is, bearing the same colorings as its adult self. Platiny features rounded green spikes on its back, likely representing budding leaves. In addition to having a stubbier silhouette of its full-sized dinosaur-based Pokemon counterpart, Platiny is wearing a banana peel on its head like a helmet, likely sourced from the neck of its Tropius mother.
